PTFE Gland Rope

PTFE Gland Rope is a first-class sealing product made from 100% virgin PTFE yarns. It contains self-lubricating material that improves heat dissipation and a low coefficient of friction that allows for smooth valve operation without the use of a lubricant or oil. In addition, because it is non-burning and non-contaminating, it can be used in oxygen services and sensitive industrial consumer settings. PTFE Rope can also withstand harsh chemicals in extreme operating conditions, allowing for a long service life in many applications.

Chemically resistant across the pH range (014; not applicable for alkali metals in molten or dissolved form, elemental fluorine, and hydrogen fluoride). The lubricant is an added thermal stability heat sink which improves performance up to hysteretic degrading temperatures. PTFE has a thermal conductivity = 1.0 W/mK, allowing heat to dissipate quickly; which means it is operative safe at a very high temperature. It is also highly reliable in demanding applications to a range of dynamic and corrosive service conditions with consistent sealing.
