Aluminum Coated Fiberglass Tape

Smart-Shield's Aluminum Coated Fiberglass Tape is a top-quality insulation tape with heat reflective properties. The tape is manufactured by laminating a layer of reflective aluminum foil to a backing made from fiberglass cloth. The fiberglass backing combines the flexibility and strength of fiberglass with the radiant heat resistance of aluminum.

With a continuous heat resistance of 550 °F (288 °C), and able to reflect towards 95% of radiant heat, Smart-Shield's Aluminum Coated Fiberglass Tape is optimized for applications assisting in the insulation of hoses, wires, pipes, and other items in a high-heat contaminant environment. The tape is lightweight and easy to manipulate, and can be used by either wrapping or spiral winding the tape around components and machines that require small area thermal protection.
