About Graphite Valve Packing

Graphite Valve Packing is made from low-chloride expanded graphite yarns and reinforced with alloy Inconel wires while covered in a specially developed graphite based compound. The compound includes a corrosion inhibitor to protect the valve stem and stuffing box from corrosive media and wear. The design allows the packing to withstand high pressures and seals without friction, which extends the working life of the packing and the adjoining components. Self-lubrication includes the additional benefit of decreased component wear and smooth valve operation in extreme operating conditions.

Graphite Valve Packing exhibits superior thermal conductivity and thermal stability properties, allowing the packing to perform consistently under variable temperature and pressure conditions, and downstream of temperature and pressure variations. It is chemically resistant to a wide range of chemicals excluding strong oxidizers. The low emission properties of the packing make it attractive for oxygen, and other safety critical and regulatory compliance applications. The decontaminating characteristics of lay flat compressible seals applied in various critical industries.
