Black Gland Packing Seal

The Black Gland Packing Seal is an industrial sealing material of the highest quality, made for hostile mechanical situations. Each seal is made of 100% virgin PTFE yarn and uniformly impregnated with premium-grade graphitically lubricating impregnant. This seal gives you the combination of chemical resistance and very good thermal performance. Its self-lubricating properties lessen operational friction, minimize the wear on the shaft, and dissipate heat efficiently in both high-speed rotation and static pressure conditions.

These braided packing seals work very well in valves, on rotary apparatus machines, or in reciprocating pumps. They have no sources of hardness, offering a soft structure that minimizes shaft wear.
