Smart Shield Insulation Tape

Smart Shield Insulation Tape is made intelligently with high performance alumina-silica fibers, with superb thermal protection and durability suited for high temperature and industrial environments. The tape contains no asbestos and is non-combustible when hot tested to BS 476, Part 4, making it a safe and reliable choice for high temperature applications. The tape can be used at temperatures up to 1300C with reinforced versions good at much higher temperatures: up to 1260C with glass fiber reinforcement and up to 1450C with stainless steel reinforcement. The durability of Smart Shield Insulation Tape is partly due to its construction which provides great chemical stability, great resistance to thermal shock and corrosion and good strength properties under very challenging operating conditions.

The yarn structure and incorporation of Inconel wire, stainless steel wire or fiberglass filament yarn provides greater tensile, pulling strength; the tape will maintain structural integrity before and after exposure to high degrees of heat. Smart Shield Insulation tape is an incredibly versatile product, which offers multiple uses including gaskets, seals, furnace and welding curtains and pipe wrapping, where dependable thermal insulation and protection is required.
