The Heat Insulation Sleeve with Hook and Loop Closure offers superior thermal insulation in high end industrial applications. It handles repeated contact from molten steel, molten aluminum, or molten glass at temperatures up to 3000F (1650C). It is much lighter than common thermal insulation, providing more safety and heat insulation. The hook and loop closure provides for very quick installations or repairs anywhere, at any time on site without removing the fittings or cutting the line which saves on labor, time, downtime, etc. The sleeve is constructed with incombustible, knitted E-type fiberglass yarns and a unique diagonal chequered air-gap design, which is self-cooling, flexible, and durable without any undulation.

The outer skin is made from thick red silicone rubber that will shed splashes of molten metal, along with mitigating any significant heat transfer. When exposed to flames, the silicone will create a SiO refractory crust that mitigates burn damage (due to flame spread), and reduces heat loss (indirect and conduction). Designed for 100's of thermal insulation applications involving hoses, cables, and steam lines.
