Smart Shield's Silica Cloth Aluminized is a cutting-edge industrial fabric engineered to give maximum protection against high temperatures, fire, and demanding industrial environments. Made of high-purity (96% minimum) silica fibers with a tough silver aluminized surface coating, this cloth gives excellent durability, resistance to wear, and thermal insulation.

Withstands repeated operating temperatures of up to 2300°F (1260°C) and peak temperatures of 3000°F (1650°C), the cloth deflects as much as 95% of radiant heat without the contribution of organic flame. This makes it suitable for application in high-risk industries like petrochemicals, steel production, glassmaking, and other heavy industry where thermal protection and fire safety are critical.

The aluminized coating, though sacrificial at temperatures greater than 600°C, is structurally sound and performs at operating temperatures of up to 315°C. Its water-resistant, abrasion-resistant, and impermeable surface guarantees long-term use in harsh environments.
